How does volunteer matching work?

Registered charities enter their volunteer needs, one-time or recurring, into the VolunteerMatch database - the nation's most comprehensive and up-to-date directory of volunteer opportunities. Interested individuals can easily search for volunteer opportunities by ZIP code, category and date; find an opportunity that fits their interests and schedule; and then express their interest to that organization through e-mail. The organization will contact the individual directly to provide details about the volunteer opportunity.
